S'mores!

I had been thinking for some time how I would like to make my fudge into a s'more. Last weekend I did it! I started with a graham cracker crust, topped it with fudge, then roasted some large marshmallows on top. It was a hit!

Christmas Cookie Gift Box

Christmas Cookie Gift Box

I gave these out for Christmas this year. They were quite well received. The box contains:
(2) Gingerbread men dusted with powdered sugar
(4) Small gingerbread stars dusted with powdered sugar
(8) Cranberry-orange shortbread cookies
(4) Sugar cookie Christmas trees
(4) Small sugar cookie stars with white sprinkles
(4) Chunks of fantasy fudge containing walnuts

A variation when I started running out of the sugar cookie Christmas trees was to throw in two large eggnog cookies.

It was hard work. I spent an entire Sunday on my feet baking. Monday evening was spent boxing and wrapping. For me, though, it was worth it. It's not everyday I get to get this extravagant. Being a foodie, I definitely love extravagance.

Merry Christmas!

Gingerbread Cookies

Today I made another holiday classic.

Gingerbread Cookies:

Iced with a powdered sugar glaze. These holiday cut outs should be a hit.

Rocky Road Fudge

This is an old family recipe for fudge.

Rocky Road Fudge

This recipe contains: semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, margarine, mini-marshmallows, and roasted peanuts.

Thanksgiving

I wanted to post a photo of my Thanksgiving spread.

Roasted turkey, stuffing, artichoke bake (asagio & parmesan cheese), sweet potato casserole, rolls, and wine.

Delicious!

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies & Eggnog Holiday Cookies

Sorry I took so long to update!

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies:
Chocolate cookies with chocolate chips. They're choctastic!

Eggnog Holiday Cookies
Eggnog is one of those treats that is only available during Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season. So why not eat it in a cookie too! Sprinkled with nutmeg on top - they make great gifts.

Halloween Cookies & Chippity Chippers!

I'm posting a little late this time due to complete laziness.

For Halloween, I ended up keeping it simple. I was going to a party and wanted to bring something for everyone. I found a recipe on MarthaStewart.com for small sugar cookies with candy corn. I used caramel candy corn for these and also cherry flavored gummy brains. The candy corn and brains are pressed into the cookie after they are removed from the oven. The cookies were still hot enough to melt the brains completely. They were absolutely delicious; however. I never would have thought to combine gummies and cookies.

For this weeks cookies I used an old Mrs. Fields recipe only I used more peanut butter chips and only one kind of chocolate chip. Very yummy.
